Retiring Females
Stella
Stella is coming 8 years old. She is in excellent health & has years of training & experience. She is more of a drive dog & not a fetch dog. There are a few things I’d like for Stella in a retirement home.
good home & family to love her is a must.
im not looking for someone that would just work her until she can’t & not love her. She can stay here.
ive raised Stella & love her, but i have younger dogs that need to learn and i dont have enough work for them to all get to go and Stella’s days are gonna be fewer to do her part.
she is intact but too old to be bred. I would not recommend it.
do you have other female dogs? No
she works well with females but not play!
do you have, like or love your cats? No
do you think she can run free around livestock? Absolutely not- she’s a prey driven cowdog.
Do you have a fenced yard & looking for an older companion with lots of love and play time to give? Yes
stella loves everyone- she also loves toys and cuddles. She’s a smooth coat- around 50lbs. She has always been penned unless supervised and is not used to avoiding vehicles or a city life. She’s had routine care, vaccinations and heartworm prevention for life and what I’d expect in a new owner.
